  1. Aidan says:

I downloaded ModLoader for 1.2.5, installed it, deleted meta-inf, and by itself it works. But when I install forge, the game wont start. It doesn’t show any errors, but the minecraft Launcher pauses after i click ‘login’ and the game never starts. Is this something I’m doing wrong or is this a problem with forge?

  2. KIm says:

at me the same problem (game isn’t loaded at installation – minecraftforge-client-1.2.5) tried to establish Millenaire fashions

    • David says:

sorry for the problem,i will check this forge API..

    • David says:

      Fixed

      • no one says:

        actually not entirely true…
although it this time finishes loading it does now crash as soon as you do one of the following:
        change textures
        load a game (world)
        start a new game (world)

this happens with 1.2.5. game version, mod loader from your link above and minecraft forge from the download link on this page. both mods were placed in the vanilla jar (and yes i remembered to remove the meta inf folder)
        i use windows 7
hope this helps improve the forge and if i missed any crucial info ask about it
        no offense meant

  3. Corey says:

Do we need Client, Server, or both?

    • David says:

if you’re installin on server, you need a server file(minecraft forge server)
if you just play in single player/client you need a client file
i think both of them is fine..^^

  4. :( says:

    Don’t work.

  5. Kyler Young says:

Guys when i look in the folder both modloader and Forge have adl.class and a few other files that are the same how do these work together if they overright each other

  6. James says:

    how u install for server?

  7. Quinch says:

I know it’s a little late but dude it works unlike the others :D . Thank you very much!

  8. Soul Repear0 says:

When i install Minecraft Forge ALONE it freezes at a part where is says Updating Minecraft and it say’s it’s done but i can’t do anything from that point. What do i do? I installed it correctly. Do i have to install Mod Loader and put the Minecraft Forge.zip in the Mods Folder that appears when i load and unload the game when i installed Mod Loader? Do i not install Mod Loader MP? What the hell do i do?!?!?!?!?!!!! I need this Mod to Work!!!

  9. Merlyn says:

I too am having this issue and have tried absolutely every piece of advice of heaps of sites and nothing works. As soon as I load/install Forge Minecraft crashes… Is it possible that the version of Java is the issue, I had to backgrade to 1.6 as I was getting a Permission denied error, backdating to 1.6 fixed this issue but if forge now wanting 1.7?

  10. Merlyn says:

1.2.5 is the mincraft version i am refering to the JAVA version 1.6

  11. Renée says:

He, i have this problem where my mods are not showing inside the game.First it did work but i had to re-install minecraft due to a new computer. I did and now it has sounds in the game but not the animals/mods. I looked at the Mods folder and that’s fine and where it should be. COuld you please help me?

  12. James says:

This is beyond absurd. I have done everything to get this to work and it just refuses. I’m sure the comments above have stopped due to the quality of the answers.

Why would this post indicate it’s for 1.3.1, but you plainly state it’s for MC 1.2.5? This is further supported by the comments on the Forge download page that it’s the final commit for 1.2.5.

You might want to fix the title of your post, because it’s surely causing many other people the same frustration it’s causing me. Way to go!

  13. KiraEatsKids says:

I have installed the newest Minecraft Forge version (.204) all by itself and it seems to be working but my mods don’t show up in Minecraft. It says it’s loaded and is in the game, but when I load up my save it does not appear.

I’m on a Mac on 10.8 with Minecraft version 1.3.2.

    Can someone please help?
